The second General District Court case was a young lady who suffered neck and back injuries from a side impact when a driver failed to yield the right of way and slammed into her passenger side.  The client had to endure hospital, orthopedic, and physical therapy treatments.  When that was not successful, she underwent steroidal spine injections, not a pleasant procedure.  Her medical bills were about $13,000.  State Farm (again) offered $10, 064.32 to settle her case (why do insurance companies believe odd numbers like that make a lowball offer seem somehow final or impressive?)  David tried the case in General District Court and received a verdict of $45,000.
